NOTE on Homemade Laundry Detergent! Please READ

In making the homemade laundry detergent, you need to use about 12 ounces (or a little more) of the bar soap in your recipe. You will NOT obtain satisfactory results if you use less than 10 ounces total bar weight.
Good luck and enjoy your savings!

  1. The only glycerine I was able to fine at Wal-Mart was from FLEET and it was a tiny little bottle for laxative use. Is this what I'm looking for or is this the wrong thing? If so can you describe the bottle and maybe even a brand name please? Thanks

  2. I just made my first batch. I followed the formula but am still unsure. What should the water look like in the washer? Should I see suds like store bought soap? I can feel the soap in the water but it looks different.
